1. What is the Sarawak Education Aid Programmes?

  • The Sarawak Education Aid Programmes are a series of financial assistance schemes by Yayasan Sarawak that support eligible Sarawakian students in higher education through educational aid such as laptops, book vouchers, financial assistance, and stipends.

 

2. Who is eligible for the Free Laptop Assistance?

·         Sarawakian student (at least one parent/guardian is Sarawakian)

·         First-year Diploma or Degree student

·         Full-time study at IPTA/IPTS in Malaysia

·         Household per capita income of RM1,500 and below

·         Recommended and certified by the institution

 

3. Who is eligible for the Book Voucher Assistance?

·         Sarawakian student (at least one parent/guardian is Sarawakian)

·         Foundation to PhD student

·         Full-time study at IPTA/IPTS in Malaysia

·         Household per capita income of RM1,500 and below

·         Recommended and certified by the institution

 

4. Who is eligible for the Special Financial Assistance?

·         Sarawakian student (at least one parent/guardian is Sarawakian)

·         Diploma or Degree student

·         Full-time study at MOHE-recognised IPTA/IPTS in Malaysia

·         Recommended and certified by the institution

 

5. Who is eligible for the Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Scheme (FTES)?

8. If I am eligible for the Free Laptop Assistance, how will the funds be disbursed to me?

  • The funds will be given to you through your registered S PAY GLOBAL account. Please ensure that you have already downloaded and installed the latest version of the S PAY GLOBAL app on your mobile device. The app can be downloaded through the following official stores:

a)       App Store (iOS)

b)      Google PlayStore (Android)

c)       Huawei AppGallery (Harmony OS)


  • You will need to acknowledge your aid disbursement on the app in order to receive the funds once available. To acknowledge the aid disbursement, simply follow the steps below.

Acknowledge from Push Notification

Step 1: You will receive a push notification on your mobile device. Tap on it.

Step 2: On the S PAY GLOBAL app, tap on Acknowledge.

Step 3: The aid disbursement is being processed. You will be notified once the fund has been credited to your account.

 

Acknowledge from the App (if you did not receive any push notification)

Step 1: On the app home screen, tap on the State Crest.

Step 2: Tap on Acknowledge Now.

Step 3: The aid disbursement is being processed. You will be notified once the fund has been credited to your account.

12.Where can I use the Special Financial Assistance funds? 

  • The funds can be used at all S PAY GLOBAL merchants and DuitNow QR merchants. 


13.Where can I view the list of participating merchants for the Sarawak Education Aid Programmes?

14. I have verified my status through the Yayasan App but did not see any Aid Wallet icon in my S PAY GLOBAL app. What should I do?

Launch your S PAY GLOBAL app and update the app when prompted. After the update is complete, reopen your app and the Aid Wallet icon should appear on your home screen.

Alternatively, you can also check your official app store to update the app from there.

Note: please ensure that your app is updated to the latest version.
